Because of the increasing number of COVID 19 cases in Hungary, the state enters new entry restrictions from 1st September: foreign citizens will not be allowed to enter Hungary without a special reason.

The restrictions do not affect the exit process.

• Restaurants, pubs and bars are open, though clubs and places with music and dance facilities are closed. Also, cinemas, theatres, museums, spas and other entertainment facilities are open to visitors, but they have certain restrictions.
• Parties and organised events are not allowed.
• Masks are needed in shops, public transport vehicles and taxis. Visitors are requested to keep 1.5 m distance in shops.
